Ian is our Managing Director; he has been with Health Call since the very beginning and has been instrumental in its growth.

Health Call is the brainchild of Ian, who set the company up back in 2016 after its success as a project within County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust (CDDFT), which was created to transform patient care and experience with digital technology.

Previously working as the Service Transformation lead at CDDFT, Ian soon realised that Health Call’s digital solutions improved the service’s outcomes and efficiency, which could create value for other organisations as a commercial offering. This saw him move over to become Business Development Manager to manage Health Call’s products and share the learning across the wider NHS trusts.

In his role, Ian is responsible for the strategic direction of the business and its growth to share Health Calls learning and innovation across the NHS and social care.

Ian has been involved in healthcare transformation and re-design since 2008, bringing a wealth of change management leadership experience from several private sector companies such as AXA and RAC. He was also pivotal in establishing the Health Call partnership and was Digital Lead for the Darlington Healthy New Town’s programme, bringing health into the built and natural environment.

As someone who has worked within the NHS, Ian has witnessed first-hand the stresses and strain placed on health and social care and is motivated by a desire to improve the NHS for all by using digital technology.

Our NHS is one of our country’s greatest assets. The reason Health Call exists is to make sure our NHS is the best it can be. We are here to help the NHS do more with less, with digital solutions to create more capacity for compassionate care and to provide the best experience for our families and loved ones.
