Dr Nicola Hutchinson Chief Executive Officer for the Academic Health Science Network North East and North Cumbria, Chair of Health Call
Since gaining a PhD in Chemistry from Durham University Nicola has worked in a variety of roles supporting business and industry in the North East. She worked as a Programme Manager and then Head of NHS Innovations North before taking up the position as Innovation Director at the Academic Health Science Network for the North East and North Cumbria in 2013. Nicola is CEO at the AHSN NENC.
Ian Dove Managing Director
Ian has been involved in healthcare transformation and re-design since 2008 bringing a wealth of change management leadership experience from a number of private sector companies such as AXA and RAC. He has been pivotal in the establishment of the Health Call partnership and was Digital Lead for the Darlington Healthy New Town’s programme, bringing health into the built and natural environment. As Business Development Manager for County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust, he was responsible for the development and protection of the Trust’s intellectual property.

Andrew Izon is a clinician and clinical safety officer with more than 30 years’ experience in the care services and is currently the Chief Information Officer for County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, a large acute and community care NHS organisation in the North East of England.
Nick Black Chief Digital Information Officer at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust, Director at Health Call
Nick has worked in a variety of Digital roles for a number of NHS organisations covering Primary, Community and Acute Care over the last 25 years, and he is currently the Chief Digital Information Officer and Senior Information Risk Officer at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust. During 2018 whilst at Gateshead, he secured NHS Global Digital Exemplar Fast Follower status for the Trust; working in partnership with Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals Foundation Trust.
Graham King Chief Information Officer at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals Foundation Trust, Director at Health Call
Graham is the Chief Information Officer for The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals Foundation Trust where he secured NHS Global Digital Exemplar status. Prior to joining the NHS he led the Global Development and Delivery arm of BT Global Health, delivering application and infrastructure services including data centre migration, broadband network services, bespoke software build, system integration and client site transition and transformation services. Graham has over 20 years’ experience leading high profile transformations in Blue Chip organisations as well as the Department of Health and the NHS.
Professor Graham Evans Chief Digital Officer, North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care System and Honorary Professor at Teesside University
Graham has held several national and regional leadership roles relating to health informatics, commencing his NHS career with North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust in June 2004 as the director of IM&T. Before joining the NHS, Graham worked within the private sector in a range of senior commercial, operational and engineering management positions, predominantly in the chemical, electronics and FMCG industries. Graham was recently appointed as an Honorary Professor at Teesside University.
